TESTING SCHEDULE
State Tests are incredibly important, and we need your help!
Our students are asked each year to show what they know. These tests are important for preparing students for their future. Whether it is taking an end-of-course test for graduation or taking a college entrance exam (ACT or SAT), your student must be prepared to do their very best.
Here are some things parents can do at home to make sure they are ready:
- TALK TO THEM ABOUT TAKING THESE TESTS SERIOUSLY! Let your student know your expectations and set those expectations high.
- MAKE TEST SCHEDULES A PRIORITY. If at all possible, make sure other events or activities do not interfere with state tests as much as possible. A late night will make for a long test and students will struggle more to do their best.
- MAKE SURE STUDENTS ARE NOT HUNGRY. The school provides breakfast and lunch for all students. Make sure your student takes advantage--or make them a special breakfast and sack lunch at home!
- MAKE SURE THEY ARE COMFORTABLY DRESSED AND IN SCHOOL DRESS CODE. No hoodies or jackets are allowed in a test room (state policy). Make sure they are wearing an appropriate shirt under a hoodie or jacket if they "must" wear one to school that day.
- MAKE SURE THAT STUDENTS ARE PRESENT AND ON TIME! Students who are not on time will not be able to join a test room after the test has already begun. Make sure students are on campus and ready to begin NO LATER THAN 7:35 AM.
